Leading Wayne Valley to victory were Omar Ali and Anthony Apicella. Ali scored 23 points along with five rebounds, while Apicella scored 22 points along with five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Apicella has scored at least 25% of Wayne Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Caden Flower, who scored ten points along with six assists.
West Milford has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Wayne Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
West Milford will head out on the road to face off against Hawthorne Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wayne Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Piscataway at 1:00 p.m. Piscataway is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
