Hayden Yelverton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Community Christian over Valor Preparatory Academy
Starting off the list is Community Christian's Hayden Yelverton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Yelverton rushed for 255 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.
For the season, Yelverton has averaged 25.1 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had ten rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 24.

West Texas T Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Isaac Kelly
West Texas T picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Isaac Kelly. Kelly turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 135 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries, while also picking up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest reception was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.
West Texas T pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Their road trip will continue as they head out to face Richland Springs at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
