Genoa Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Grove City Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully Genoa Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Genoa Christian Academy strolled past Delaware Christian with points to spare, taking the game 56-37.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Genoa Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabbie Kirwin, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Kirwin continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Kinley, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-28, which was the final score in Grove City Christian's tilt against Fisher Catholic on Friday. While losing is never fun, Grove City Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while Fisher Catholic is ranked 187th).
Genoa Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Grove City Christian, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-9.
