Basketball Recap: St. John's/Tipton Catholic Takes a Loss

St. John's/Tipton Catholic was the 70-52 winner over Lincoln when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The match between the St. John's/Tipton Catholic Blujays and the Lincoln Leopards didn't end well, with the St. John's/Tipton Catholic Blujays falling 54-37. The game marked the Blujays' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, St. John's/Tipton Catholic still got an impressive performance from Edward Horinek, who went 8 for 20 on his way to 19 points and six steals. The match was Horinek's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Allen, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for St. John's/Tipton Catholic and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Lincoln, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John's/Tipton Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rock Hills at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Lincoln will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against LaCrosse on January 7, 2025. LaCrosse will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
