Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boyd-Buchanan). They blew past the Red Bank Lions 79-50 on Saturday. The Buccaneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 25 points or more this season.

Red Bank's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Rice, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds. Dj Wilbur was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Boyd-Buchanan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Red Bank, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2.

Boyd-Buchanan and Red Bank should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Boyd-Buchanan (ranked 48th) will meet Bethlehem Christian Academy (ranked 299th) at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Red Bank (ranked 132nd) will meet Heard County (ranked 356th) at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th.
