The Hot Springs County Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. Their rough 50-27 defeat to Lyman might stick with them for a while. Hot Springs County has not had much luck with Lyman recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Hot Springs County saw an underclassman step up: Jayssie Owsley scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. Owsley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Even though they lost, Hot Springs County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lyman only pulled down 14 offensive rebounds.
Lyman had a senior duo take command as Ashtyn Wells scored ten points along with six rebounds and BriLee Bradshaw scored ten points along with three steals. Bradshaw hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Payton Anderson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Hot Springs County's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lyman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Pinedale the next time they take the court. Hot Springs County will head out to face Pinedale at TBD on Saturday, while Lyman will host them at TBD on Thursday.
