Valley Christian scaled the state rankings by moving to 109 from 162 this week, the biggest jump in West Catholic. The Warriors were able to move up by topping Milpitas 48-24.
Serra took down Buhach Colony 48-15 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Ignatius's Ryan Hagfeldt and Joe Lang have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hagfeldt has thrown for 534 yards this season, while Lang, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 16 catches for 170 yards. Valley Christian's Kirk Johnson leads the league in rushing yards with 425.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Wildcats' Lang goes up against St. Francis's Riley Quinn.
Next week's game between St. Ignatius and the Lancers will feature an aerial matchup as Hagfeldt tests his arm against Quinn's defensive ability.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when John Regalia's team and St. Francis face off next week.
The Padres are in fifth place, while Bellarmine is in second place.
Mike Machado's team led West Catholic in scoring this week by notching 48 points on the Trojans. Mark Quinby ran for 199 yards during the win.
