The Wildwood Warriors lost against the Ocean City Raiders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Wildwood received a tough blow as they fell 59-42 to Ocean City. Wildwood has struggled against Ocean City recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Wildwood's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Fusik, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Junior Hans, who scored 12 points along with six assists and two steals.
Wildwood dropped their record down to 13-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Ocean City, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.
Wildwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-46 loss vs. Delsea on the 12th. Ocean City's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lower Cape May at 7:00 p.m. on February 16th. Ocean City has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 697 points over their last ten contests.
