AA West recap October 29, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in AA West this week, Bishop Ryan/Sawyer beat St. Mary's Central 14-7. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Griggs-Barnes County [Griggs County Central/North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,597 from 11,162. The improvement was the result of a 29-8 victory over Turtle Mountain last week.
Beulah's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Kamron Unruh contributed 229 yards.
Unruh was a beast in the backfield as the Miners bested Watford City/Alexander/Johnson Corners Christian Academy.
Unruh was a passing and rushing force as Beulah defeated the Wolves. Unruh's favorite target this week was Landon Battest, who caught 2 passes for 12 yards.
Battest was the best receiver in the league this week as Jim Dooley's team beat Watford City/Alexander/Johnson Corners Christian Academy. Battest racked up 2 receptions for 12 yards.
Beulah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Miners feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Casey Walcker has thrown for 282 yards and 1 touchdown this season, while Battest has 11 catches for 181 yards.
