The Manti Templars will square off against the Canyon View Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Manti is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Ogden with a sharp 10-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Templars, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Spencer Robbins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Robbins was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Manti: the team is 9-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zach Blackham, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Durke Larsen was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Manti kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Canyon View and Richfield had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Wildcats on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.
Canyon View got a massive performance out of Jeter Sanders, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Sanders has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Hunter Johns also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Manti's record now sits at 17-10. As for Canyon View, their record is now 15-12.
Manti skirted past Canyon View 6-5 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Templars repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
