Roxana is 2-8 against Breese Central since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Shells will welcome the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. Roxana is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Roxana couldn't beat Breese Central on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Shells fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-4.

For Breese Central's part, Eden Campanella spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. Campanella has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Taylor Trame, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Breese Central lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Roxana's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Breese Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Roxana hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Breese Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs.
