The Savannah Christian Raiders extended their postseason success on Friday against the Morgan County Bulldogs. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 33-10 victory. Considering Savannah Christian has won eight games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Savannah Christian was led to victory by Kenry Wall and Zo Smalls. Wall rushed for 152 yards while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, while Smalls rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns. Smalls hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games.
The win was the seventh in a row for Savannah Christian, bringing their record for this year to 10-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Groves and 1-9 Beach (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.3% over those games). As for Morgan County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Savannah Christian will head out on the road to face off against Lumpkin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lumpkin County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 290 points over their last six matchups. Morgan County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
