Stanley-Boyd hasn't had much luck against McDonell Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Orioles will head out to take on the Macks at 5:00 p.m. Stanley-Boyd is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
On Thursday, Stanley-Boyd needed a bit of extra time to put away Bloomer. They skirted past the Blackhawks 8-7. That's two games straight that the Orioles have won by just one run.
Caitlen Ketterhagen spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kelly Lew was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendall Sikora, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Stanley-Boyd kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, McDonell Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Regis on Thursday. The Macks put the hurt on the Ramblers with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Macks have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
McDonell Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Stanley-Boyd, their record is now 13-4.
Stanley-Boyd skirted past McDonell Central 6-5 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Orioles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
