Enrique MacIas was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Teddy Wagner was another key player, going 1-for-2 with five RBI, one triple, and one run.
Ransom Everglades always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .514 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over Marathon on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Dolphins: they've now won three in a row.
Braden Keltz made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season.
Keltz wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nick Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Bryan Oliva also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
The victory got Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) back to even at 2-2. As for Ransom Everglades, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
