The East Poinsett County Warriors's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They breezed by Lee on the road to the tune of 61-12. That looming 61-12 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for East Poinsett County yet this season.
It was another big night for Kyla Harston, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Keandria Johnson, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
East Poinsett County's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Lee, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
East Poinsett County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trumann at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. Trumann is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Lee will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on KIPP Delta at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. KIPP Delta comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
