The La Quinta Blackhawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 12th straight loss. They fell to Xavier Prep 58-53. La Quinta has not had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Xavier Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paul Dreisbach led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Johnny Ferrel, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
La Quinta has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 18 of their last 19 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season. As for Xavier Prep, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-21.
La Quinta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Xavier Prep also has no future games currently scheduled.
