Meanwhile, St. David's entered their tilt with Word of God Christian Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. St. David's strolled past Word of God Christian Academy with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 45-31.
St. David's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eliza Everett, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Everett has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Kate Benson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Raleigh Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for St. David's, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Raleigh Charter suffered a grim 51-28 defeat to St. David's in their previous meeting back in December of 2014. Can Raleigh Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
