St. Joseph Central waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Tug Valley Panthers with a sharp 10-3 win. The Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

Wyatt Pence made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, St. Joseph Central got a big performance out of Hudson Moosavi, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Brayden McDowell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

St. Joseph Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tug Valley only posted a batting average of .182.

St. Joseph Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tug Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-17.

As of now, neither St. Joseph Central nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
