Basketball Recap: Hastings Has No Trouble Against Lexington

Hastings posted their biggest victory since February 21, 2024 on Saturday. They blew past the Lexington Minutemen 58-37. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Minutemen are ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hastings has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Lexington, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hastings will face off against Aurora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they will challenge Kearney Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
