Basketball Recap: Garfield Skates Past Windham with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Garfield over Windham in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Garfield G-Men blew the Windham Bombers out of the water with a 76-46 final score. The G-Men have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.

Garfield had a senior duo take command as Preston Gedeon went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc to rack up 33 points and Aidan Hill almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Hill also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Cade Rock was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 10 points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Garfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Windham, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Coming up, Garfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Girard at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Garfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.4 points per game this season. As for Windham, they will be taking part in a tournament against Western Reserve at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
