The Diamond Ranch Panthers will head out to take on the Northview Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Diamond Ranch has given up an average of 27.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Diamond Ranch's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against San Dimas on Friday. They were outmatched by the Saints and fell 35-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Diamond Ranch's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jalen Gallegos, who rushed for 101 yards, and Tristan Kinney, who rushed for 91 yards on only nine carries. Gallegos has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Northview entered their tilt with Baldwin Park on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Braves 37-21. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Braves are ranked 413th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northview's win came from a few key players Diamond Ranch will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaishon Bledsoe, who rushed for 76 yards and one score on only six carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and one TD. Aaron Guillen helped out on the ground, rushing for 99 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Northview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
One reason for the win was Northview's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jacob Cruz, Pedro Solorzano, and Matthew Gonzalez, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Baldwin Park's side was Cruz, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Northview's record now sits at 5-1. As for Diamond Ranch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Diamond Ranch was dealt a bruising 42-0 defeat at the hands of Northview in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Vikings' Isaiah Lucero, who picked up 108 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Now that the Panthers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
