After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Newberry, The Eastside Rams were happy to have found some success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 43-0 victory over St. Joseph Academy on the road. The result was nothing new for Eastside, who have now won four matches by 35 points or more so far this season.
Adrian Curtis looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 191 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Curtis was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Corvin Byrd was in the mix too, providing Eastside with two touchdowns.
Eastside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for St. Joseph Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Eastside will head out on the road to face off against Santa Fe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Legacy Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Charter comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
