Peyton can attribute much of their success to Sammie Nickell, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards, and Scarlett Clark, who posted 14 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. Clark is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of ArRhiya Brown, who earned four points and 16 boards.
Peyton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Harrison humbled Pueblo Central with a 53-24 victory. The Panthers pushed the score to 44-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 7-10. As for Peyton, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
