Those two RBI gave Curtis a new career-high. Allie Adkins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Clermont Northeastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Batavia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Goshen, falling 8-1.
Clermont Northeastern is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Batavia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
