The Hudson Cobras and the Nature Coast Tech Sharks squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Hudson Cobras had to settle for second. They suffered a rough 58-35 loss at the hands of the Sharks. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hudson in their matchups with Nature Coast Tech: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Hudson had strong showings from Grace Rutherford, who scored 11 points, and Cloie Hagin, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Quintara Norwood was her usual excellent self, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and four steals for Nature Coast Tech. Another player making a difference was Gabby Dross, who scored four points along with five steals.
Hudson has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Nature Coast Tech, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
Hudson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nature Coast Tech, they will take on Hernando at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Nature Coast Tech is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
