After flying high against the Notasulga Blue Devils last Wednesday, the Holtville Bulldogs came back down to earth. Holtville was beaten by Marbury 61-22 on Tuesday. Holtville has not had much luck with Marbury recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Nasiyah Jernigan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Marbury, scoring 25 points. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Brown , who scored nine points along with three steals.
Holtville's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-4. As for Marbury, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
