Cathedral Prep is a perfect 10-0 against Meadville since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. On Monday, Cathedral Prep beat Harbor Creek 7-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ramblers.

Cathedral Prep got a great performance from Frank Thomas as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave Thomas a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Costello, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. He has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, Meadville lost 14-4 to General McLane on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost three in a row.
Meadville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Kliest, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another was Henry Desantis-Biggs, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Cathedral Prep pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Meadville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Meadville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cathedral Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for Meadville, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain Cathedral Prep's hitters?
