The Fairless Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Tuslaw Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Fairless put up the most runs they have all season on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Malvern a 16-0 shutout. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Madison Barkan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chelsie Woods, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Allie Klein, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Fairless always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Malvern only posted an OBP of .059.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tuslaw, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Rittman on Saturday as they made off with a 17-1 win. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.
Gabby McGowen looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Eiley Bolgiano was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Kaydence Chapman was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Tuslaw is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Fairless, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-8.
Fairless might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Tuslaw in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
