The Pittsfield Generals were the 70-63 winner over the Chicopee Comp Colts when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Pittsfield took a 72-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chicopee Comp on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Pittsfield's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makai Shepardson, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Malachi Perry, who scored 17 points.
Pittsfield's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. As for Chicopee Comp, their win was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
Pittsfield will head out on the road to face off against East Longmeadow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chicopee Comp, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
