The Elkhorn Antlers will be playing at home against the Lincoln Northwest Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Elkhorn's favor as the squad sits on 14 straight wins at home while Lincoln Northwest has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Even though Elkhorn has not done well against Bennington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Elkhorn came out on top in a nail-biter against Bennington and snuck past 54-51. The victory was just what Elkhorn needed coming off of a 85-63 defeat in their prior match.
Colin Comstock continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. Charlie Lamski was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Lincoln Northwest, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-36 loss to Blair on Tuesday.
Elkhorn's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Lincoln Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Everything came up roses for Elkhorn against Lincoln Northwest when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 90-31 victory. With Elkhorn ahead 51-23 at the half, the match was all but over already.
