After a string of four wins, the Cherokee County Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 45-31 fall against Pell City. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cherokee County has scored all season.
Leading Pell City to victory were Reagan Tarver and Reese Tarver. Tarver scored nine points along with three steals, while Tarver scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Saniya McFarlin, who scored ten points.
Cherokee County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Pell City, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Cherokee County will take on Oneonta in a holiday battle at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at. Oneonta is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Pell City will be home for the holidays to greet Cullman at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
