The Satsuma Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 56-24 loss at the hands of Escambia County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Satsuma in their matchups with Escambia County: they've now lost four in a row.
Stephen Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Escambia County, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Williams is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jovaughnta Henderson, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Satsuma bumped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their 19th straight on the road. As for Escambia County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Satsuma will head out on the road to challenge T.R. Miller at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully T.R. Miller focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday. As for Escambia County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. Jackson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
