The Rio Rico Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Browne, falling 68-33. Rio Rico lost against Browne in their previous head to head back in November of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 77-62 score last time.
It was another big night for Adam Chaffin, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks for Browne. Jesus Solorio-Vasquez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Rio Rico has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Browne, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Rio Rico will head out on the road to face off against Walden Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Walden Grove has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 455 points over their last six contests. Browne won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Alhambra at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th. Alhambra comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
