Auburn's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They skirted past the Mt. Rainier Rams 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Robbie Coma, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Alec Smetheram was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Auburn's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Mt. Rainier, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-5.

Auburn will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
