The Newman Greenies took their game with ease, bagging a 55-25 victory over the St. Mary's Academy Cougars. The Greenies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Newman is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-13 record this season. As for St. Mary's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Newman has already played their next game, a 45-23 win against South Plaquemines on the 7th. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will head out to take on St. Mary's Dominican at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's Dominican will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something St. Mary's Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
