Roseville has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Inderkum Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Roseville strolled past River Valley with points to spare, taking the game 30-12. Given Roseville's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 245th, while River Valley is ranked 658th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Roseville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenny McClure, who rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown. Roseville also got a significant boost from Aaron Salas, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
Meanwhile, Inderkum had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.8 points), and they went ahead and made it seven two weeks ago. They blew past River Valley 83-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Inderkum, who have now won five matchups by 55 points or more so far this season.
Ricky Cole continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 145 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Claxton, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns.
Roseville has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in seven of their first eight games, giving them a 7-1 record. As for Inderkum, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
Roseville came out on top in a nail-biter against Inderkum in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, sneaking past 33-31. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Inderkum's Giovanni Jorlen, who rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Roseville to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
