Beatty dropped down to 11-5 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Pahranagat Valley Panthers, falling 15-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

As for Pahranagat Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.

For Pahranagat Valley's part, Braxten Tsosie made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Tsosie a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Flint Higbee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Evan Rhodes also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

While Beatty had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
