Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Community School of Davidson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Liberty Preparatory Christian with a sharp 67-44 victory on Monday. Given Community School of Davidson's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Liberty Preparatory Christian is ranked 510th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Community School of Davidson can attribute much of their success to Austin Moran, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals, and Dermot Lowry, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Moran has scored at least 25% of Community School of Davidson's points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Tomko, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, West Iredell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 81-58 walloping at the hands of St. Stephens. West Iredell has struggled against St. Stephens recently, as their match on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Community School of Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for West Iredell, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
