Virginia Episcopal School's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 22 points in the first half. Greenbrier Christian Academy wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 12 to make it 22-12 heading into the break. Virginia Episcopal School almost let the matchup get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it.
Junior Will Twadell, who picked up 117 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs, was a major factor in Virginia Episcopal School's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Huntley Davenport, who racked up 12 tackles. The victory bumped Virginia Episcopal School's record up to 3-0. The defeat dropped Greenbrier Christian Academy's record to 2-3.
Next week Virginia Episcopal School take on Brunswick Academy at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. Greenbrier Christian Academy will be playing at home against St. Anne's-Belfield at at 6:30 PM.
