The Alva Goldbugs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cimarron 69-29 on the road. That looming 69-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Alva yet this season.
Alva's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lakin Gaddy led the charge by scoring 20 points along with three steals. Gaddy is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Argo, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
The victory for Alva keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Cimarron, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Alva will be playing at home against Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cimarron, they will head out on the road to face off against Attica on Friday. Hopefully Attica focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Friday.
