The Mohawk Area Warriors will square off against the Beaver Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Mohawk Area is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Sto-Rox on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-1 victory. Considering the Warriors have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Adam Deal looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mohawk Area got a massive performance out of Kamren O'Lare, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave O'Lare a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Vinny Pezzuolo, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and two runs.
Mohawk Area hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Beaver entered their tilt with Hickory on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hornets a 7-0 shutout.
Maddox Tanner and Josh Derringer were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Tanner pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Derringer struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Tanner got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Derringer got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Eli Maze was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Junior Marino, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Mohawk Area's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Beaver, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
Everything went Mohawk Area's way against Beaver in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Mohawk Area made off with a 10-1 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
