Valley Forge is 0-3 against North Ridgeville since August of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Valley Forge Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the North Ridgeville Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Valley Forge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 344th, while North Ridgeville is ranked 101st).
Last Friday, Valley Forge ended up a good deal behind Holy Name and lost 30-16.
Despite their loss, Valley Forge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Daniel Kiewel, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, was perhaps the best of all. Kiewel was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Meanwhile, North Ridgeville got themselves on the board against Steele on Friday, but Steele never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Comets 36-0 at home. The result was nothing new for North Ridgeville, who have now won four matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
North Ridgeville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Joey Wilson, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and Charlie Steinmetz, who gained 95 total yards and two touchdowns.
With Valley Forge's defeat and Holy Name's win, both teams now sport identical 4-6 records.
Valley Forge was taken down by North Ridgeville 41-6 in their previous meeting back in August. Can Valley Forge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
