Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Homewood-Flossmoor). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Downers Grove North Trojans 69-0. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Trojans are ranked 142nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Homewood-Flossmoor is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.1 points on average over those games. As for Downers Grove North, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
