The Lincoln Lancers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Thomas Jefferson on the road and fell 86-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (57), Lincoln still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Mahamud Jumale, who scored 32 points along with three steals. Jumale hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Aaron Villarreal was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Leading Thomas Jefferson to victory were Doren Sacha and William Perkins. Sacha scored 24 points along with four steals, while Perkins went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sacha has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dimitri Haralambopoulos, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Lincoln are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6. As for Thomas Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Northfield the next time they take the court. Thomas Jefferson will host Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Lincoln will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
