The Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans lost against the Illini West Chargers back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bushnell-Prairie City was the victim of a tough 68-44 defeat at the hands of Illini West. Bushnell-Prairie City has not had much luck with Illini West recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Illini West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tre Neiderman, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Neiderman has scored all season. Wesley Robertson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Bushnell-Prairie City has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season. As for Illini West, they pushed their record up to 18-10 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bushnell-Prairie City will take on Cuba/Spoon River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
