Lincoln is 8-0 against Washington since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Lincoln Mustangs will be playing at home against the Washington Eagles at 2:00 p.m. Lincoln will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Lincoln can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 53-12 victory over Mission on the road.
Lincoln found their leader in underclassman MICHAEL WASHINGTON, who rushed for 217 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Diego Cristerna, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Washington fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They managed a 31-26 victory over Mission two weeks ago.
Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.
