The King Lions won the last time they faced the Freedom Patriots, and things went their way on Friday too. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, King made off with a 51-50 victory over Freedom. The win made it back-to-back wins for King.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julien Barnett, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Barnett has scored at least 25% of King's points. Another player making a difference was Ian McLargin, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
King's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Middleton at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. Middleton comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Freedom, they will head out on the road to face off against Wiregrass Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Wiregrass Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
