East had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat North 49-20 on the road. That's another feather in the cap for East, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, North saw an underclassman step up: Ce'airah Underwood scored 8 points. Underwood scored a full 40% of North's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
East's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for North, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East will take on Harding at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Garfield at 5:30 p.m. on December 4th.
