The Headland Rams made easy work of the Plainview Bears on Wednesday and carried off a 16-2 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Headland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. Plainview's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9.

Headland and Plainview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Headland will challenge Enterprise at 6:00 p.m. on Monday down 53 places (56 vs. 3). Meanwhile, Plainview (ranked 232nd) will meet Madison County (ranked 53rd) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
