North Henderson is 0-10 against Pisgah since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The North Henderson Knights will be playing at home against the Pisgah Bears at 6:00 p.m. North Henderson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 514th, while Pisgah is ranked 118th).
North Henderson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 38-28 to Hendersonville. North Henderson has not had much luck with Hendersonville recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Peyton Taylor put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored eight points along with 17 rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Pisgah can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They blew past East Henderson 64-30 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Pisgah has posted against East Henderson since February 3, 2021.
North Henderson bumped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Pisgah, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
North Henderson took a serious blow against Pisgah in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 57-24. Can North Henderson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
